The GrassSnakes Musical Touring Group presents the best of our local amateur musicians. We play anywhere, any time for basic expenses. We sometimes help to raise funds for village halls and other charities.
We offer:
Several artists in the same show!
Below you will find brief information about our performers.
'61 Revisited
'61 Revisited are a country, folk and pop trio from Seaham with vocalist Margaret Moore, husband Tony on acoustic guitar, and slide guitarist Terry Hannah.
DAVE 'CRASH' HEPPELL
Love him or hate him, protest performer and singer-songwriter Dave Heppell's political viewpoints say it all for the rest of us! We love him!
Right: Dave Heppell (Ol' Hep!)
Quality live performers. The advantage is yours!
Robson Field
We like to help young talent onto the scene and we have supported fifteen-year-old Shadows tribute guitarist Robson Field from the beginning.
Robson has been invited to play several independent gigs after performing with the Touring Group.
The Church of Sin
(formerly Burnt Houses)
From left: John Battye (bass), Jack Robinson (keyboards), Anthony Hutchinson (guitar), Johnny Wilkinson (drums).
Having already toured the dales for various charities and local community projects these boys have the accolade of having performed in support of Dr. Feelgood at The Sage, Gateshead for the Great North Air Ambulance and the Chyrelle Addams Breast Cancer Trust.
They afterwards jokingly changed their name to 'The Church of Sin' wishing to explore their version of what they remember about the seventies heavy rock years! Of course, this is entirely new to their youngest member, Jack Robinson, who is sixteen. We'll see how it goes, boys!
Hatz and Diamondz
A country/folk with a little rock & rhythm and blues outfit with lady bass player and former truck driver Carol Guy-Fisher with guitarist Anthony Hutchinson borrowed from The Church of Sin.
Hatz and Diamondz music has been featured on local radio station Bishop FM. Carol is the proprietor of 'Hairways' beauty salon at Eldon Lane, Bishop Auckland. Their album 'Truck Driving Babe' is available from 'Hairways', this website and all good hair stylists!
The Dalesiders
Locally popular.
Folk, bluegrass and nostalgia.
